24.5 hours is the time it took to travel from Spring, TX to our airbnb apartment in Tel Aviv. The picture below doesn't do justice to the amount of stuff we are lugging around on this adventure. Another photo to come soon to show how we look while transporting.
Sybil loved the AstroCow!
Sybil was very attached to "Mamma" so Cara had Sybil with her for most of both flights. She did all of her sleeping in the Ergo on Cara. I ran support, tried to sleep, and mostly read my book. All in all Sybil did great! Day one can be summed up as met Noah, Aidan, and Tonya all LITs for UP camp, long line at Israeli customs, train and bus ride, nap time, dinner, and fitful sleep adjusting to the time change.
After forgetting to set our alarm we awoke at 10am ready to enjoy the beach! They do not
disappoint. White sand, shallow shorelines, gentle waves, and cheap rental umbrellas and beach chairs make this an easy place to relax and enjoy the sun. We decided to post up at Metzitzim.
Israel has library carts near the beach for anyone to borrow a book to read! I even noticed one at the train station. We read a fascinating children's book in Hebrew that documented a family's crazy adventures in a rain forest. The highlight was when they went fishing for tacos.

Family photo!
Our beach setup.
Carmel market.
We found a nice playground, and Sybil made a friend that shared her grapes with her and only made one baby cry after trying to give her a kiss.
Swing!
Off to Haifa,
