Concluding Post 4 of 4
It was good to be back in Spring, TX with my family. After a few loads of laundry and lots of sleeping we were ready for our final adventure before heading back to Austin. My parents had booked a bay house for the whole family (Ellen & Ryan and Dave & Ellie and the girls) to stay in for the weekend so we headed south to Galveston. Looking at these pictures gives me a heavy heart because this would be our final vacation together as whole family before Papa would suddenly fall ill and die just a month later.

The girls loved collecting hermit crabs, and quickly made an aquarium in our frisbee to make them a comfy home for our time at the beach.

We rented a golf cart to drive from our bay house to the beach and around. Super fun.
Papa, at his happiest, near the beach but away from the sand reading a book in air conditioning. We miss you Papa. Love you.
