2017 Adventure - Israel Chapter

Here we go!  Israel, Ho!

Our bags are packed and we are ready to start our first international journey with our team of three (Hud will have to wait to join the adventure until we get back).  We will have 10 days to explore Israel on our own before spending the last 10 days coaching with Ultimate Peace.

We are so excited to see a new country and experience a new culture before what we anticipate being an unforgettable experience at UP camp.

Ultimate Peace
UPs mission is to build friendship, trust, and leadership between youth that live in communities divided by conflict, using ultimate as its tool.  In other words, we get to teach and spread our love of ultimate to Arab-Israeli, Jewish-Israeli, and Palestinian youth in order to help them build friendships with each other.

This video does a great job of capturing the impact of this program.

Each coach is required to fundraise for this very worthy cause and our goal was to raise a combined $5,000.  And thanks to the awesome support of friends, family, and Austin's ultimate community we raised over $6,700!

Wheels up tomorrow at 9:30am to arrive in Tel Aviv (via Toronto) around 11:30am on Monday.  More to come on the challenges and awesomeness of traveling with our ambassador toddler.  We'll see if our beaver bag full of toys and books will be enough to entertain Sybil for the 14 hours of flight time.
